Lilymay Healy is an artist from Galway in Ireland. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Science from the University of Galway in 2023 and completed a portfolio course in Art and Design in the Galway Technical Institute in 2024. She will be pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art in London in the coming year.

Her style is colourful, concerned with both the abstract and illustrative, both chaotic and precise. She often incorporates mathematical and scientific imagery and concepts in her work and is interested in abstraction, space, geometry, higher dimensions, symmetry, pattern and the nature of infinity. Her current body of work includes large paintings, drawings and embroidered textile images exploring dichotomies that are inspired by the seaweed, rocks and shells found along the shoreline close to her home. She is influenced by the work of Hilma af Klint.

She is also a costume designer, most recently for HystERia Téatar’s ‘Jezahel’ which toured both nationally and to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and for Púca Productions’ ‘Rocky Horror Cabaret Show’.
